FALL RIVER — Fall River Police are searching for a suspect wanted for an armed robbery.

On Saturday, January 13, at approximately 9 p.m., Fall River Police were dispatched to the 600 block of North Main Street on a report of an armed robbery. On arrival, officers spoke to a 76-year-old male who stated that as he was getting out of his car, he dropped a bag.

As he retrieved it, he observed a “skinny white male in his early 20’s, wearing a black jacket and flat brim hat with a red brim” approach. This male stated to the complainant, "It’s your money or your life."

The complainant thought it was a joke until the male brandished a black pocket knife. The complainant handed over his wallet. The male entered the driver’s side of a black sedan, possibly a Nissan, reversed out of the parking lot and sped away.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Officer Derek Pereira (Dpereira@FRPD.ORG) at the Fall River Police Departments Uniform Division (508) 676-8511, or call the Police Department's anonymous tips line at (508) 672-TIPS (8477).
