Suffolk County DA Rollins Sides with Antifa over Cops [OPINION]

Suffolk County DA Rachael Rollins has disgraced her office. She dropped her prosecutor hat and rushed to the defense of Antifa criminals on Tuesday in Boston Municipal Court. The accused allegedly injured four Boston Police officers during a protest against a satirical "Straight Pride" parade.

Last time they showed up to confront and assault a conservative group in Boston back on August 19, 2017, Antifa members threw bottles of urine all over the police.

Rollins appears more and more to me to be part of a slow motion anarchist movement from the inside. On her campaign website, Rollins promises to outright refuse to prosecute certain crimes such as:

• Trespassing
• Shoplifting (including offenses that are essentially shoplifting but charged as larceny)
• Larceny under $250
• Disorderly conduct
• Disturbing the peace
• Receiving stolen property
• Minor driving offenses, including operating with a suspend or revoked license
• Breaking and entering — where it is into a vacant property or where it is for the purpose of sleeping or seeking refuge from the cold and there is no actual damage to property
• Wanton or malicious destruction of property
• Threats – excluding domestic violence
• Minor in possession of alcohol
• Drug possession
• Drug possession with intent to distribute
• A stand-alone resisting arrest charge, i.e. cases where a person is charged with resisting arrest and that is the only charge
• A resisting arrest charge combined with only charges that all fall under the list of charges to decline to prosecute, e.g. resisting arrest charge combined only with a trespassing charge

You didn't believe me so you checked her website, right? I KNOW! I had to myself before really believing that a prosecutor could actually run an office like this. It's madness and you have to blame the voters as much as her.

Of course, this is part of her "social justice" platform, but this is a shocking turn-a-blind-eye to serious crimes in many of these on the list. Who would want to have a retail store in a city where it isn't a crime to shoplift?

As you can see by the proactive public statement from the Boston Patrolmen's Association over the long weekend when they pleaded with the courts to prosecute, they have serious concerns over Rollins's radicalized office. Appealing to the court directly is a very unusual public statement for them to to make, but it seems clear to them that DA Rollins sees them as the problem and Antifa as some sort of social justice warriors.

Prophetically, they were correct. Rollins decided not to prosecute Tuesday, but rather to be the defense attorney for the accused. She attacked the judge's decision to prosecute and even bar the accused from visiting Boston before their trials. She plans to take this battle to the Massachusetts Supreme Court.

I cannot tell you how disappointed I was to learn that Boston Mayor Marty Walsh has also outed himself as a far-left, pro-Antifa radical. His first instinct was to lash out at the behavior of the Boston Police!

The Rolling Stones' "Sympathy For The Devil" has a line that is coming to fruition in Massachusetts: "Just as every cop is a criminal and all the sinners, saints."

By the way, the Antifa horde was chanting "Police are the Klan!" and would next hide behind the same police when they fled from a response to one of their sucker-punches as they assaulted members of the satirical Straight Pride parade.

Mayor Walsh made the following public statement:

“Let me be clear that I take any accusation of police misconduct seriously. I also want to be clear that sowing division between people is exactly the goal of Straight Pride organizers, and I will not stand for it. Just as the people of Boston work to make our values of love, inclusion and acceptance known to all, our public safety officials work tirelessly to keep people safe from harm every single day of the year, and that will never change.”

All except those who don't fall in line but are non-conformists to the left's rigid agenda of forcing every citizen to see things their way alone, eh Marty? You inclusive and tolerant man of diversity, you.
