Suffocation Risk Prompts Baby Bib Recall
More than 10,000 packages of baby bibs are being recalled.
According to WPRI 12, the waterproof plastic backing on the Environment-brand bibs can pose a suffocation hazard to children, according to the Consumer Product Safety Commission.
So far, no injuries have been reported.
The recall covers two styles of bibs, which are the "pocket" style and the "cover-up" style. These bibs were sold in packages of twelve from January 2008 through October 2016. The affected SKU numbers include 900822 or 900823, which can be found printed on the tag.
"Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bibs and contact Discount School Supply for a refund. The company can be reached at 800-338-4430 from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. ET Monday through Friday, or by email at recall@discountschoolsupply.com."
