Passengers using the ferries to Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket can expect delays today after the Steamship Authority announced it was the target of a ransomware attack.

According to the Steamship Authority’s Twitter account, the ransomware attack is affecting operations this morning, which is causing delays in travel to and from Woods Hole, Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket.

The Steamship Authority says a team of IT professionals is currently assessing the impact of the attack, and that more information will be released once that is completed.
