A Tuesday night traffic stop in Taunton led to the arrest of a Fall River man who allegedly had a .45-caliber handgun loaded with hollow-point bullets inside his fanny pack.

Around 8:45 p.m. Massachusetts State Police pulled over a 2002 Toyota Avalon with four men inside. They said rear passenger Kristian Cruz, 21, exhibited nervous behavior and kept touching a fanny pack strapped over his left shoulder. Cruz allegedly relinquished the fanny pack and police say they found the fully-loaded firearm inside along with a high-capacity feeding device containing 12 rounds and a small scale.

Police said Cruz does not possess a  license to carry in Massachusetts.

Cruz was arrested and booked at State Police Middleboro barracks on multiple weapons charges and a charge of receiving stolen property. He was held at the Bristol County House of Correction pending his arraignment today in Taunton District Court.
