Mass. State Police were busy this weekend, helping to collect toys for the U-S Marine Corps' "Toys For Tots" program.

Cruisers were stationed outside eight Toy's R Us stores around the Commonwealth, including the store in Dartmouth, giving area residents the chance to fill the cruiser with new and unwrapped toys.  Kara Huchowski is the State Police co-ordinator for Toys for Tots.

That number later swelled to over 600 toys later in the day. Huchowski tells WBSM News, all of the toys will stay in Massachusetts.

According to Huchowski, the State Police have been working with the Marine Corps and Toys For Tots for 28 years.
