FALL RIVER — Officials have announced that a fire that broke out at the Stafford Mill earlier this month in Fall River has been ruled an arson.

Firefighters responded shortly after midnight on January 13. By around 3 a.m., the fire was heavy on the fifth floor in the middle of the building and flames were seen coming through the roof, according to witnesses. A Seekonk firefighter was also injured while battling the blaze.

A $5,000 cash reward is being offered for information on who started the fire.
