Cell service provider T-Mobile has sent out notice to its customers on the SouthCoast that it may experience a service outage early Tuesday, October 18.

The company sent out emails and text alerts on Sunday with the same message, warning customers that their “service may be interrupted” between the hours of midnight and 3 a.m. ET on Tuesday.

“To ensure a great network experience, the tower you use most will undergo maintenance,” the message began.

There was no specification as to which tower or towers would be undergoing maintenance. T-Mobile also noted calls can be placed without using the cell tower during the planned downtime.

“During this time, if available, you can use Wi-Fi to make calls and access data from your device,” the message stated. “We'll let you know when the work has been completed.”
