The most talked-about subject since late Friday morning has been the revelation that Bob Kraft is involved in a sex scandal with a Florida massage parlor.

As my show ended on Friday, the news was just breaking about Patriots owner Bob Kraft. Since then I have had the opportunity to discuss the subject with a wide variety of SouthCoasters, and their opinions are all over the place.

My opinion is let's wait and see what develops. I genuinely believe everyone is innocent until proven guilty or they confess to their errors. Bob Kraft is denying the allegations that he was involved in buying sex at the Florida massage parlor. I'm sticking with my instincts here and believing that Bob Kraft will be ultimately vindicated of the charges.

One of my friends, a retired member of law enforcement with plenty of hours around the courts, lamented the sloppiness of the crime if one was committed. "He is a billionaire, why didn't he pay a little extra and have one of those escorts meet him in a hotel room? They charge more because they don't talk about it later."

And isn't that a great point in Bob Kraft's favor? If he wanted to purchase a sexual experience, he certainly has the resources to do it discreetly. The idea that he would go to a public place to commit this crime is hard to believe.

"He is a dirty old man," yelled a waitress to another waitress and anybody else that was within a square mile.

That's the unfortunate reality of a sex scandal—it will follow him forever regardless of the legal outcome of the matter. Bob Kraft is a very generous person and beloved by those around him, yet this matter will now follow him for the rest of his life.

One defense attorney told me, "the words 'human trafficking' are a problem" for him with the public.

One common angle on the matter most people pondered was this: what has happened to America when a billionaire can't make a thing like this go away?
