The 2019 festival season in New Bedford is wrapping up this month with the 14th Annual New Bedford Seaport Chowder Festival.

The event is sponsored by the SouthCoast Chamber of Commerce and will be held Sunday, October 13 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., under a tent at Pier 3 on the waterfront.

Dozens of restaurants, caterers and assisted living facilities will compete to determine who has the best clam chowder, fish chowder and stuffed quahogs in the area. The Chamber's Deven Robitallie visits Townsquare Sunday this weekend to take about the Festival and the latest happenings at the Chamber.
