Just in time for the 2026 summer season, Six Flags has announced plans to sell off seven of its amusement parks to EPR Properties for a reported $330 million. The good news is that Six Flags New England is not among them.

Six Flags Announces Sale of Seven Parks

According to Fox Business, "On Thursday, the company said it would sell off Michigan's Adventure in Muskegon, Michigan; Schlitterbahn Waterpark Galveston in Texas; Six Flags Great Escape in Queensbury, New York; Six Flags La Ronde in Montreal; Six Flags St. Louis in Missouri; Valley Fair in Minneapolis; and World of Fun in Kansas City."

Six Flags CEO Explains the Strategy

In a statement, Six Flags CEO John Reilly said, "This divestiture enables us to concentrate our capital, leadership, and operational focus on the properties that we believe generate the strongest returns and offer the greatest long-term upside."
