Most of the shelves are completely empty, but shoppers are still taking advantage of the extremely low prices at the soon-to-be-closed Shaw's Supermarket in Fairhaven.

The store is set to close Saturday, and is offering up to 90% off of whatever is left in the store.

Andy and Chris Couto of Dartmouth stopped in Friday afternoon, leaving with a cart full of groceries and significant savings. Andy tells WBSM News he's saddened to see the store go.

Carol of Freetown made the drive to Fairhaven, and says as a former employee, she will continue to support the supermarket chain even after the Fairhaven location closes.

The Fairhaven location is one of six Massachusetts and Rhode Island stores closing it's doors for the last time Saturday. Company officials say poor performance and low profits have forced them to close the stores.
