Shooting Reported In New Bedford’s North End

New Bedford Police responded to the scene of a shooting in the North End Wednesday night.

Scanner reports indicate the shooting took place around 7pm at an apartment complex located at 878 Old Plainville Road.

According to those reports, one person was injured as a result of the shooting. The victim has been transported to an area hospital.

Police were working to locate a suspect as of Wednesday night.
