Seven people were hospitalized following an early morning fire in Fall River.

Channel 12 is reporting that the fire at 83 Quarry St. was reported around 5 a.m. Thursday.

Fire officials say the six unit building was home to five families and at least 12 people have been displaced.

It's believed the fire started on the first floor and spread quikcly to the other floors.

The building was heavily damaged and is considered unlivable.
