Sunday, September 22 at 4:44 pm the fall equinox welcomes in later dawns, earlier sunsets and cooler mornings. A chill is in the air, and all around us, trees and plants are ending this year's cycle of growth.

If you follow fashion, you'll notice people have stopped wearing white. Little creatures are putting on their winter coats. Notice the arc of the sun across the sky each day as it shifts towards the south.

Birds and butterflies are migrating southward, too. Below the equator, Spring is beginning! And for us preparing to enjoy autumn is here.

The clocks don't officially get turned back until November 3, 2013. So enjoy the time while you can, because it will be getting darker sooner!
