The confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court should motivate moderate and conservative voters to vote for President Donald Trump over Joe Biden.

Citizen Donald J. Trump made the federal courts and specifically the Supreme Court a major campaign issue in the 2016 election. His opponents on the left and on the right underestimated his knowledge of the courts and the importance of having smart and ideologically correct people serving a lifetime tenure in that branch of our government. Trump had previously arranged for President Ronald Reagan to appoint his sister to the federal bench.

Candidate Trump outflanked the Democrats when he decided to release a list of candidates that he would choose from to serve on the Supreme Court. His act of transparency was unheard of in the world of court politics. This simple act was a contract with the conservative movement and it opened the public up to the process. It also earned Trump a serious win in the 2016 media cycle.

President Trump made a public promise and he has kept that promise. In fact, he has kept the promise three times now. If he wins re-election, he will likely get the opportunity to keep his promise a few more times.

Joe Biden has been involved for almost 50 years in the selection and confirmation of federal judges. He should have a list a mile long of qualified individuals he would appoint to the Supreme Court if he is elected to the presidency. Why isn't he telling the public and his base who he would put on the court?

Biden has reasons to conceal his choices until after the election.
