May this year end, and with it, all of its curses! So goes the saying of the Festival of Rosh Hashanah, that marks the new year 5774 beginning tonight at sundown and lasting two days.

Rosh Hashanah is the anniversary of the creation of Adam & Eve and means 'head of the year.' Congregation Beth Israel in West Hartford, CT is breaking tradition with an unusual outdoor service open to the public, tonight.

The goal is to reach out to those who don't belong to the synagogue, according to Rabbi Michael Pincus.
