DARTMOUTH--A two-car accident Wednesday morning resulted in a rollover and shut down traffic on State Road for approximately an hour.

The crash occurred at approximately 8 a.m. Dartmouth Police and other emergency personnel responded to the area of 611 State Road. There, it was learned that a crash took place involving a 2012 Toyota Camry, operated by 90-year-old Phyllis Mercer of Dartmouth, and a 2003 Mitsubishi Galant, operated by 18-year-old Sean Davies of Somerset.

The Mitsubishi had rolled over onto its roof as a result of the crash, and Davies was transported to St. Luke's Hospital in New Bedford with minor injuries.

Police report that State Road was shut down or detoured for approximately an hour, and that no further details regarding the investigation are available at this time.
