You've probably heard by now that big-name stars are in the Ocean State to film a new big-screen drama from legendary director James L. Brooks. You have probably also seen photos of some of the stars enjoying nightlife in Rhode Island.
Now you can get even closer to the amazing actors attached to Ella McCay by being on set yourself.
Monday morning, Providence streets near Blackstone Boulevard began transforming into a movie set. Even a local church got excited about all the equipment trucks arriving.
But for those who walk by hoping to be discovered, you may want to think about becoming a movie extra.
Yes, they are going to need extras for many upcoming scenes in Providence and Cranston over the next few months, and agency Boston Casting is hiring for those positions right now.
If you have some musical talent, they might have something totally different for you.
In a recent post on its social media sites, Boston Casting has started a search for firefighter bands.
It's definitely a specific ask and though it's not listed as being part of the Ella McCay film, we can't help but assume from the early April filming dates that this request is part of Ella McCay.
Though the movie is being filmed mainly in Rhode Island at several locations over the next few months, producers say the film isn't supposed to take place in Rhode Island or any specific state at all.
