The magic of the holiday season shines brightest through acts of kindness, and this year 99-year-old Rhode Island woman Mildred "Millie" Balzano hopes to experience that magic once again.

Her granddaughter Cara Balzano has taken to Facebook with a simple yet heartfelt request:

"Everyone sending out Christmas cards, send one to my Grandma!"

Last year, Millie received an outpouring of beautiful cards from generous strangers. She loved every one of them, especially those with festive pictures that brought smiles and warm memories.

Millie resides at the Hattie Ide Chaffee Home, where the holiday cards bring extra joy to her days. Cara hopes to recreate that spirit of love and connection for her grandmother this year.

If you'd like to make Millie's season a little brighter, you can send her a card at the following address:

Let’s help fill Millie’s mailbox with holiday cheer and make her 99th Christmas one to remember.
