Two Rhode Island men must perform community service and pay restitution, but will serve no time in jail for defacing historic buildings in Downtown New Bedford in October, 2011.

Reddick Vaughn and Shawn Marrow were sentenced Wednesday in New Bedford District Court.

Both men must pay $3,900 combined in restitution, and Vaughn must perform 400 hours of community service, and Marrow 500 hrs.

Mayor Jon Mitchell says while he's disappointed both men will not serve time in jail, he's pleased that part of their community service work will be cleaning graffiti in New Bedford.....

Both will remain on probation for three years.  A third suspect, Kyle Pollock of Rhode Island is scheduled for trial on April 30.
