Today at Fenway Park the Boston Red Sox played a simulated game as they wait to find out who they will take on this Friday. It will either be the Cleveland Indians, or the Tamps Bay Rays.

The long layoff in between the final regular season game and the first playoff game may have concerned manager John Farrell enough to schedule this simulated game featuring John Lackey and Clay Bucholtz pitching.

The "Game" was open to the public and even the National Anthem was sung before the first pitch.
