A Sudbury man could be facing new charges in the July poisoning death of a Whitey Bulger extortion victim. Last week the state medical examiner ruled that Stephen Rakes of Quincy died of acute cyanide toxicity and that his death was a homicide. Prosecutors say William Camuti poisoned Rakes' iced coffee then dumped his body in the woods of Lincoln. Rakes had been on the witness list in the Bulger trial, but police say he was killed because Camuti owed him money. Camuti is currently charged with attempted murder, misleading police, and the unlawful disposition of human remains.
