Plymouth RMV Closed Due to Burst Pipe
PLYMOUTH — The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles service center in Plymouth has been temporarily closed due to a burst water pipe that caused flooding on Sunday.
The Massachusetts Department of Transportation said in a release Tuesday that customers with transaction appointments in Plymouth for this and next week will be seen at the RMV's Taunton or South Yarmouth locations instead.
Scheduled road tests will still take place at the Plymouth location, according to the release.

The closure comes after a water pipe burst in the ceiling at the Plymouth RMV service center at 40 Industrial Park Road on Sunday, the release stated.
Building materials damaged by the water must be removed and repairs completed, which is expected to take more than a week.
According to the release, Plymouth RMV staff are being temporarily reassigned to customer service centers in Taunton and South Yarmouth.
This means that any RMV customers with a transaction appointment scheduled at the Plymouth RMV in the next two weeks will have their appointment honored in Taunton or South Yarmouth for the same date and time as their Plymouth appointment.
However, the registry urged customers needing services that are available online — like paying a fee, scheduling a road test, or renewing a registration — should use the RMV website at mass.gov/rmv wherever possible.
Customers who are members of AAA can also make appointments at a AAA office, the release noted.
"We apologize for any inconvenience that may be caused to customers while the service center location in Plymouth is closed due to the facility issue," said Registrar of Motor Vehicles Colleen Ogilvie.
