Pelosi’s Still Fighting the 2016 Election [OPINION]

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi may well go to her grave still battling the demon that was the 2016 presidential election. Pelosi and other Democrats have been peddling this notion that President Donald J. Trump might refuse to relinquish power should he lose the election next month. Some suggest that the military might be needed to force Trump and company to leave.

The truth of the matter is that Pelosi and her minions, and not Trump, are the ones who have yet to accept the will of the people. For nearly four years, there has been an ongoing effort to reverse the vote of 2016.

First, there was the actual coup attempt by the Obama Administration and the Department of Justice. Then there was the Mueller investigation. The Ukraine hoax was next, and then the phony impeachment trial. Now Pelosi says she will attempt to remove Trump from office by invoking the 25th Amendment. Good luck with that.

Pelosi would need the support of Vice President Mike Pence and the Republican majority in the United States Senate to be successful in removing Trump from office. As with impeachment, Pelosi knows she hasn't a snowball's chance in hell, but at least she might force a delay in the confirmation of Amy Coney Barrett to the U.S. Supreme Court.

For all of her concerns that Trump might not be willing to accept the results of the upcoming election, Pelosi has clearly not accepted the results of the last one. The speaker simply looks foolish now, and any effort to proceed with this plan would likely cost her party dearly at the polls in November.

Give it a rest, Nancy. The people are tired of your divisiveness.
