Pedestrian Killed After Being Hit By Pickup Truck
A pedestrian struck by a pickup truck while crossing a West Bridgewater street has died.
Police say the 24-year-old man was crossing North Main Street at about 8:30 p.m. Wednesday when he was struck. The pedestrian was then taken by ambulance to a hospital where police say he later died.
Police say the crash occurred during heavy rain and high winds and weather conditions are being considered in the investigation.
The 55-year-old driver of a red pickup truck involved in the crash stayed at the scene.
