Shout Out To The Massachusetts Man Who Won Millions & Donated To Animals
Not all heroes wear capes. Some just donate their lottery winnings to animals in need.
A Peabody man hit big on a scratch ticket, and instead of pocketing all the winnings, he had a better idea in mind.
Paul Riley went to Summit Variety on Summit Street in Peabody and purchased a "100X Cash" instant ticket game. Most of us are lucky to win a couple of bucks, but Riley won more than just a couple.
After double (and triple) checking, he was stunned to find that he won the grand prize of $4 million.

Riley opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2.6 million before taxes and planned to buy his wife a new car.
His dog Raven joined him to claim his prize, and as a self-proclaimed animal lover, he wanted to make a difference with his winnings.
"He plans to use some of his winnings to make a donation to the Animal Rescue League," said the Massachusetts State Lottery.
Shelters all over the state are overflowing with eligible animals, and any person that is willing to give back to those shelters deserves recognition. Here's to you, Riley.
The Summit Variety in Peabody received a $40,000-dollar bonus for the sale and Riley walked away with a happy dog, happy wife, and $2.6 million richer.
Not a bad day for Paul Riley of Peabody.
