OPINION | Chris McCarthy: Trust GOP Members on Intel Committee
Let's look at the members of the GOP on the House Intelligence Committee that just concluded the President didn't collude with Russians in the 2016 election.
The majority of the House Intelligence Committee has now concluded, after an exhaustive investigation, that the Trump campaign never colluded with the Russian government to steal the 2016 election from the will of the American people.
It is now up to the citizens to decide as individuals whether they believe the GOP members of the Intel Committee or if the conspiracy to work with Russia has been larger than anyone has ever alleged. If you don't believe the GOP members you must believe they too are under the power of Putin and Trump and they are continuing to commit treason at the highest levels in a fashion unknown previously to the world.
The Republican members of the House who concluded there was no treason are from all over our country and from all different backgrounds. They are individuals with deep roots in America and if you don't believe them you are accusing them of treason because you believe they are knowingly covering up a conspiracy between a hostile foreign power and an illegitimately elected President Trump.
Frank LoBiondo (NJ) - He started out as a local elected official and a small business owner before winning election to Congress. He also serves on the sensitive House Armed Services Committee with oversight of American's military.
Tom Rooney (FL) - He is a lawyer who was in the US Army and taught at West Point before becoming a US Attorney at Ft. Hood in Texas. He and his wife have three sons: Tommy Jr., Sean, and Seamus.
Chris Stewart (UT) - He served for fourteen years as a pilot in the Air Force, flying both rescue helicopters and the B-1B bomber. He holds three world speed records, including the world’s record for the fastest non-stop flight around the world. He and his wife have six children.
This is just a sample of the committee but which one do you think would join a treasonous conspiracy to help Russia dominate our country?
The answer is none would sell out their country and therefore you can only conclude the Russian collusion story was just a lie born out of a nasty election and a terrible chapter in American history.
