Dear Donut Shop Employees of the SouthCoast,

I need a favor. I need you to stop grabbing the donuts and throwing them into bags with such reckless abandon that they end up frosting-side down. I need the downward-facing donut trend to stop. Please.

We have all experienced the "frosting all over the bottom of our drive-thru bag" donut situation and I'm pretty sure none of us are happy about it. The thought, "How hard can it be to place the donut with the frosting facing up?" must have crossed your mind after a trip to grab one of these tasty treats.

Considering I get donuts this way at least nine times out of 10, I just know I'm not the only one. But I may be one of the few with someone in their life who legitimately gets angry over this.

I love my husband very much, but when he gets upset over a facedown donut, my morning is ruined. He will complain about the facedown donut for way longer than he needs to, it will put him in a foul mood to start the day and then the rest of us traveling with him have a grump to hang out with. Not cool.

I'm not even going to tell you how a 3-year-old reacts when half her frosting is all over the bag.

Honestly, this plea is not for me. I couldn't care less about which way my donut faces when I get it. I will happily use my finger to scoop up any remaining frosting I may feel I still need. For those around me, however, this can be a day-altering occurrence that occurs way too often.

So, please, for the sake of us all, take a little more time with the donuts. Frosting face-up just might make someone's day.

Maybe It's Time to Skip the Donut and Grab an Ice Cream Instead. Here's Who is Opening for the 2022 Season Sooner Than You May Think

We put together a list of all the local creameries that are celebrating the opening days in February, March, and April of 2022. It’s only a matter of time before all of our favorite spots are ready to welcome us again for delicious frozen treats.
