Officials Break Ground On New Medical Center In New Bedford

TSM - Groundbreaking Ceremony for new medical center at Riverside Landing

Construction is now beginning on a new urgent care medical facility at Riverside Landing off Coggeshall Street in New Bedford. Officials say the project should be completed in about a year.

Thirty permanent jobs will be created, and Mayor Jon Mitchell says job creation doesn't happen by accident....

The site now includes Market Basket, Taco Bell, and a row of retail stores now under construction.

The Mayor joined officials from Hawthorne Medical Associates, Steward Healthcare, and St. Anne's hospital of Fall Rver on Friday for a ground-breaking ceremony at the site.
