The NTSB says black box data indicates the brakes were being applied before a Gulfstream jet crashed last weekend outside Boston.

NTSB spokesman Luke Schiada says preliminary data from the flight data recorder shows reverse thrusters being deployed and brake pressure increasing. Schiada would not give any details on the communications between the pilots and the control tower.

Seven people were killed in the crash last Saturday night at Hanscom Field in Bedford, Massachusetts. Schiada stressed they are still very early in the investigation. (metro Networks Inc.)
