New Mural Brightens North End Neighborhood
Another display of public art in New Bedford --- This time on the walls of a highway overpass on Belleville Avenue in the North End.
The mural is called "School of Cod" and shows a colorful school of fish swimming through elm trees.
The artist is Alex Jardin of New Bedford, and he has no problem with his mural being located in the Hicks-Logan St. neighborhood.....
The project was spearheaded by the New Bedford Public Art Committee, a group that seeks out local artists, and encourages the appropriate use of public space for artwork
