Good news for fans of the New Hampshire Ice Castles.

It has been a mild winter season, and the popular wintertime destination is weather-dependent, but it turns out the 2024 season will kick off earlier than expected.

New Hampshire Ice Castles to Open Early

“It’s been a long time coming but ... New Hampshire is opening a week early!” Ice Castles said online on Sunday.

Saturday, Jan. 20, will be the new opening day for one of the most popular wintertime destinations for New England families.

The page’s comment section was flooded with excited people looking to schedule their visits, and this year’s display in New Hampshire will have an all-new design for visitors to enjoy.

What Are the Ice Castles in New Hampshire?

“Our primary goal at Ice Castles is to make people smile,” the destination notes.

Founder Brent Christensen crafted his first creation in his front yard to make his children happy. Years later, Ice Castles has grown into a wintry playground found in several locations across the country.

This experience is more than just ice sculptures. Caverns, ice slides, frozen thrones and illuminated fountains create a winter wonderland from a storybook that keeps people coming back every season.
