It was more than five years in the making, but the Dartmouth Police Department finally has a new police station. After an Open House on Sunday, September 22 from 11 am to 2 pm, the administration, officers and staff members will officially move into the Tucker Road station on September 24. After being housed in modular units or buildings that were designed for other purposes, Police Chief Brian Levesque says it was a great opportunity to design a building from the ground up. Chief Levesque will discuss the new station on Townsquare Sunday with Jim Phillips, and the long process in making it happen.

Townsquare Sunday is a weekly public affairs program heard every Sunday morning at 6 on 1420 WBSM. The program highlights individuals and organizations working to make Greater New Bedford a better place to live.  If you miss the broadcast, interview segments can be heard on wbsm.com and on the WBSM App.

If you have a public event, festival, or neighborhood activity you want to publicize, submit your information here. You can also send an e-mail to Jim Phillips at jim.phillips@townsquaremedia.com. This program can also be heard by downloading the WBSM app.
