
New Bedford Woman Arrested on Drug Charges for Second Time in One Week After Raid
NEW BEDFORD - A drug raid at a North Front Street apartment in New Bedford results in five people getting arrested, including one woman who was arrested on drug charges just last week.
New Bedford Police carried out a search warrant Wednesday night at 314 North Front Street, Apartment 3, and found small amounts of cocaine and heroin, a digital scale, cutting agents, and a small amount of cash. Arrested were:
- John Biel, 57, 314 North Front St., Apt. 3E., New Bedford
- possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
- Amy Bassett, 50, of 6 Washington St., Hyannis
- possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws, warrant arrest.
- Angie Alves, 42, 556 County St., New Bedford
- possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
- Kessy Torres, 29, 314 North Front St., Apt. 3E., New Bedford
- possession of heroin, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
- Aaron Henderson, 28, 517 Kempton St., Apt. 3, New Bedford
- possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, conspiracy to violate drug laws.
Torres was arrested, along with her boyfriend, last week after police caught them with drugs in a stolen Mercedes-Benz.
