New Bedford Police Investigating Shooting at Taco Bell

NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) —- New Bedford Police are investigating after a male was shot at the Taco Bell on Coggeshall Street early this morning.

Police confirmed to WBSM that shortly before 1 a.m., officers responded to the restaurant in response to shots fired.

They arrived to find a male victim suffering from injuries that were not life-threatening.

New Bedford Police Assistant Deputy Chief Scott Carola said detectives have now taken over the investigation, which he said is “very active at this time.”

No further information was provided.
