New Bedford Summer Sound Series Lineup Announced

NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — In one of the most anticipated announcements of the year, the City of New Bedford has revealed the lineup for the 2024 Summer Sound series.

The free concerts take place in downtown New Bedford on Friday nights throughout the summer, alternating between lower Union Street (between North Water Street and Route 18) and Purchase Street (between Union Street and William Street).

The concerts happen each Friday, weather permitting, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. from June 28 through September 6. There is no concert on August 2 due to the Feast of the Blessed Sacrament happening that weekend.

There will also be performances from Dr. Finnegan’s Circus before each concert, as well as artisan pop-ups and a community art project with 3rd EyE Youth Unlimited. For more information, visit the Explore New Bedford website.
