New Bedford Police Investigating Possible Shots Fired Near Bay Village
New Bedford Police are investigating a possible shots fired incident in the area of the Bay Village housing development earlier this evening.
According to police, patrol units responded at about 7:15 p.m. to a ShotSpotter activation in the area of South Second Street and Howland Street.
They said that upon arrival, shell casings were located at the scene.

There was damage to property, police said, but no injuries had been reported.
The incident remains under investigation.
