NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police are investigating two incidents of shots fired in the city early this morning.

According to police, officers responded at around 12:30 a.m. today to the area of Merrimac Street and Pleasant Street for a report of shots fired.

They said two apartment complexes in the area sustained interior and exterior damage as a result.

While processing that scene, officers also responded to the area of Hazard Street in response to shots fired. There, they found a home had sustained interior and exterior damage.

Police said no injuries were reported in either incident, and the investigation into both is ongoing.
