The crowd numbered into the hundreds, all looking to taste samples of chowder, kale soup, and more from area restaurants.

The 8th annual New Bedford Seaport Chowder Festival welcomed nineteen area restaurants to showcase some of their best, mouthwatering dishes to be judged by the public.

The judges chose Emeritus Senior Living in Dartmouth as the top clam chowder with Brandon Woods in Dartmouth 2nd.

The Cedars Assisted Living in Dartmouth took top honors in the kale soup category.

New Bedford's Cotali Mar Restaraunt was tops in seafood chowder and the Olive Garden won for signature soup.

In the stuffed quahog competition, Brandon Woods won top honors.

In the People's Award categories, Mike's was tops in chowder, Autumn Glen won for kale soup, Freestone's was tops in seafood chowder.

Olive Garden won signature soup and Pa Raffa's was tops in the people's category for stuffed quahogs.

Emeritus of Dartmouth won the People's Choice for their table presentation.
