New Bedford School Running On Generator

A power outage in the North End has caused the Casimir Pulaski Elementary School to be without power this morning.

School spokesman Jonathan Carvalho says the school is running on a backup generator and classes will take place as scheduled.

Eversource expects to have power restored in roughly one hour.

However, due to a downed power line school officials say they are unable to get a bus through at this time on the number 11 bus route.
