New Bedford Route 18 Project Update

The Rt. 18 project has caused a lot of headaches for motorists in New Bedford. One of the last pieces of the project, the ramp from Rt. 18 to the Fairhaven Bridge, is close to opening according to the Director of the city's Department of Public Infrastructure Ron Labelle.

He adds that they still have to pour concrete at the Union Street and Rt. 18 intersection in the next week or so and once that's completed, the barrels will come down and that part of the project will be completed, except for some punch list items to be checked.
