A day-long music extravaganza is planned for September 1 In New Bedford. Rise Fest 2019 will feature dozens of local performers at the Greasy Luck Brewpub in Downtown New Bedford. Their goal is to raise money for Rise Up for Homes, an organization that provides funding for the city's Homeless Service Providers Network. The event will be simulcast on New Bedford, Dartmouth and Fall River Guides live feed on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. Viewers will be able to phone in and make donations and bid on auction items as well. Organizer Sean Fitzgerald and Leslie Poulin stop by Townsquare Sunday this week to discuss RiseFest 2019 and explain how you can get involved.
