New Bedford Man Arrested for Fentanyl Trafficking Operation
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — A New Bedford man has been arrested for allegedly trafficking fentanyl.
According to New Bedford Police, Ricardo Cruz De Los Santos, 41, was taken into custody and charged with trafficking more than 200 grams of fentanyl.
On January 5, Det. Matthew Sylvia of the department's Organized Crime Intelligence Bureau concluded an investigation into a fentanyl distribution operating out of 255 North Front Street. The investigation targeted the first floor of the apartment where De Los Santos lived.
As a result of a search warrant, police said approximately 428 grams of fentanyl was discovered, along with digital scales and packaging materials. In addition, police also seized $1,377 in cash.
