New Bedford is remembering the life and work of President John F. Kennedy on this 50th anniversary of his assassination. Kennedy visited the city several times during campaigns in the 1950's. J

oe Thomas of Spinner Publications says during one visit, Kennedy stopped by his parents' church.

Thomas says pictures of Kennedy's visits to New Bedford will be featured in another installment of "A Picture History of New Bedford" to be released in June.

To commemorate Kennedy's connection to New Bedford, Cable Access is airing several programs today, and WBSM has a special presentation from ABC entitled "Three Shots Rang Out", premiering at 6pm.
