New Bedford Police Seeking Armed Robbery Suspect

New Bedford Police are searching for a suspect in an armed robbery of the Bizarro Food Mart at 556 Kempton Street Monday night.

Scanner reports indicate the suspect is believed to have walked into store around 7 p.m. and displayed a small handgun, robbing the store of cash. He fled on foot up Newton Street.

The suspect is described as a male, about six feet tall, wearing a black mask and a black hooded sweatshirt. He is also wearing black pants, tan gloves and black sneakers with white soles.
