A man armed with a kitchen knife held up the J-&-L Market on Maxfield Street.

According to police, the man walked into the store Tuesday morning with a tee shirt over his head, with holes cut out for his eyes.

A clerk handed over some cash, and the suspect was seen running thru some back yards in a westerly direction towards Cedar Street. No one was hurt.  The knife and tee shirt was found nearby.

The robber is described as a light skinned maile, about 5-9 with long hair.  He was wearing black pants with tan boots.
