New Bedford Police arrested a 21 year old city man Friday morning in connection with a car break in the West End. Police  were called to the area of Hill and North Streets where a car break occurred. Witnesses told them the suspect identified as Dino Digaetano of Sycamore St.  fled in a westerly direction. They caught up with him a short distance away and found a cell phone, charger, GPS and some loose change in his possession that was taken in the break.

He was positively identified and placed under arrest and charged with breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, malicious damage to a motor vehicle and receiving stolen property. He was arrainged on those charges in district court.

Digaetano was arrested earlier this year on January 17th for breaking into another car on Chancery Street.
