New Bedford Police Arrest Five in Drug Sweep

New Bedford Police continue their crackdown on illegal drugs in the city's near North End.

Police made five arrests Wednesday afternoon and evening at locations on Tallman Street, Colette Street, Coffin Avenue, Bullard Street, and again on Collette Street.

Those arrested include 18-year-old Mckenzie Davis of New Bedford, 49-year-old Lance Alford of Randolph, 33-year-old Shaun Cabral of New Bedford, 43-year-old Joshua Bagao of Dartmouth, and 28-year-old Rebecca Santos of New Bedford.

The suspects face a variety of charges including possession of illegal drugs and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
