Massachusetts is full of history and historic landmarks for visitors to explore. Much of the Commonwealth's history is in downtown New Bedford, preserved and on display to anyone who strolls through the center and into the New Bedford Whaling National Historical Park.

The Whaling Museum, the Mariners' Home, the Seamen's Bethel, historic Centre Street, the working waterfront and the Schooner Ernestina-Morrissey, to name a few.

There's also the historic Rotch-Jones-Duff House and Garden Museum, the James Arnold Mansion, the First Unitarian Church, the Nathan and Polly Johnson House, Abolition Row Park and the U.S. Custom House, to name a few more.

There is more history and historical landmarks here than you can shake a stick at, yet not a mention. We demand a recount.

Perhaps the authors might try sailing into our beautiful New Bedford Harbor rather than cruising around Massachusetts in a recreational vehicle. There is a good chance their list would change if they experienced the history this port city has to offer.
